- Variety of Flavors: Offers nine different wood chip flavors to experiment with.
- Ease of Use: Provides all necessary tools for an at-home bar experience—just add your drink of choice.
-
Value for Money: Offers a bundled set that is often pricier when purchased separately.

- Focus on Whiskey: Not as versatile if you're not a whiskey drinker.
Comparison
While there are other whiskey smoking kits available, many don't combine the advent calendar concept with such a comprehensive set of accessories. Competitors might offer individual pieces, but the added value here is the combined offering of both the smoker and a daily surprise through the advent season. For approximately the same price, you could buy individual components elsewhere, but you’d miss out on the experience of daily exploration and discovery in December.
User Tips / Usage Guide
- Charge Ahead of Time: Before using the electric smoker, ensure it's fully charged to avoid interruptions.
- Experiment with Flavors: Don’t just stick to one type of wood chip—different flavors complement different whiskeys.
- Safety First: Always ensure proper ventilation in your home bar area when using the smoker.
- Keep It Fresh: Store wood chips in their tins to maintain freshness and prevent unwanted moisture.
- Use High-Quality Whiskey: The smoking effect works best with well-crafted spirits that can stand up to the added flavors.
- Prep Glassware: If your glassware isn’t optimized for smoking, consider chilling or pre-icing before use.
- Creative Cocktails: Don’t limit yourself to whiskey—try other spirits to see which flavors resonate best.
- Share the Experience: This kit is a conversation starter; engage your guests in choosing and tasting different flavors.

Ultimately, the Wafra Whiskey Advent Calendar & Smoker Kit is a worthwhile purchase for those looking to enhance their home bartending skills and explore the nuances of whiskey smoking. For the price, you get a comprehensive kit that includes not only the tools for smoking but also a delightful advent calendar experience, perfect for counting down to the holiday season. Where it really earns its keep is in its ability to transform an everyday drink into a layered, aromatic experience right in the comfort of your own home. If you're shopping for a whiskey lover or an enthusiastic home mixologist, this kit adds significant value and enjoyment over the holiday season and beyond.
